Photos were created prior to 2007.
The earlier photos (see: Tyler/Jeff) were taken with a large-format camera on-location at night.
Shortly after that (see: Osmosis series), I began taking the photos during the day, scanning the negatives, reducing it to nearly-black, then ‘painting’ the light back into the areas that I desired.
After that, I moved to working with digital cameras, using a very similar process for the lighting, but also began incorporating collage elements (usually found) into the process.
