About:

In my exploration of ceramics, my focus lies in the allure of organic shapes and layered textures. The medium's ability to encapsulate every maker's mark and the history of a piece's creation captivates me, and I frequently choose to preserve the evidence of touch and manipulation in my works.

Similar to my approach to paintings, my ceramic pieces often find inspiration in memories or experiences tied to a particular Place or experience. Embracing fragmentation and colors as symbolic elements, I seek to convey the essence of these moments. It's a process that allows the viewer to connect with the tactile and visual history woven into each ceramic creation.

Expanding on my fascination with landscapes, ceramics offers a unique opportunity to reverse the narrative. I’ve recently been interested in creating planters and bonsai containers that respond to the living elements within them, essentially transforming them into a dynamic, living landscape.
